Set on a lonely forest track with the early morning sun blowing off last night's frost. There are indeed no birds. And the stalks look a bit dilapidated. Why? Read "Next Please" a poem by the celebrated English poet Philip Larkin.

The original watercolour painting from which this print is derived was exhibited at the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours in 2025.
